"I would like to publicly apologize to Beck. I’m sorry, Beck," the rapper and two-time music awards show interrupter said in a Twitter message Thursday.

Rapper and repeat music awards show interrupter Kanye West on Thursday apologized to Beck, weeks after he walked on stage when Beck won the Grammy for album of the year and then said the musician should have given his award to Beyoncé.

"I would like to publicly apologize to Beck, I’m sorry Beck," West said on Twitter Thursday.

Many thought the Feb. 8 stunt was a joke referring to West's infamous "I'mma let you finish" moment at the 2009 VMAs, in which he walked on stage and interrupted Taylor Swift after the country singer won the award for best female video. West didn’t grab the microphone or say anything in the most recent incident.

But West made it clear after the Grammys that it was no joke. He later said in an interview with E! that, "Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyoncé," before going on to bash the Grammys for "diminishing art and not respecting the craft."

Beck, who won the award for "Morning Phase," was more than gracious after the stunt, telling People that he thought Beyoncé was going to win, too, and saying of West, "I still love him and think he’s genius."
