Michael Douglas is denying that there's any rift between himself and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones. In Berlin Monday to promote his "Behind the Candelabra" film, he spoke to a reporter on the red carpet after being asked about the "crisis" at home.
"I have a crisis at home?" he replied to The Associated Press reporter. "No, I think the press has a crisis. We, we are fine. My wife and I are, are fine. We take a temporary separation, but the press, it gives you stuff to write about."
Last week, reports surfaced that the couple, who have been married for 13 years, were living separate lives. Multiple outlets suggested that they were taking a break from one another after living through several stressful years — which included his battle with throat cancer and her struggle with bipolar II disorder.
Douglas, 67, and Zeta-Jones, 43, have two children together.
