Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan will sit down with Matt Lauer Monday in his first television interview since the June 2014 car crash that left him critically injured. Morgan will be joined by his lawyer Benedict Morelli.

On Thursday, Morelli told Matt Lauer the former "30 Rock" actor has a "new lease on life."

"The process is never easy," Morelli said, but added that with the settlement behind them, Morgan is looking forward to moving on.

"Walmart did right by me and my family and for my associates and their families," Morgan said in a statement. "I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably."
