The memory of Leonard Nimoy and his most famous character, "Star Trek's" Mr. Spock, is sure to "Live long and prosper," thanks in part to a new documentary directed by his son.
The upcoming movie, "For the Love of Spock," got its funding of just over $662,000 following a successful Kickstarter last year.

Directed by Nimoy's son Adam, it features cast and crew across the many iterations of the "Star Trek" franchise talking about their memories and what made the actor unique.
Nimoy died in February 2015 from complications of pulmonary disease. He was 83.
Voices in the trailer come from just about all the usual suspects, including William Shatner and Zachary Quinto, who played Spock in the rebooted film franchise. He also narrates the films.
In one touching moment, Shatner, who played Captain Kirk on the '60s TV series, tells the 59-year-old filmmaker, "I loved Leonard. I never had a friend like I had with your dad."

"For the Love of Spock" debuts at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 16 and will be available to stream later this year.
