Miley Cyrus Is Hospitalized, Cancels Kansas City Concert

The singer is being treated for a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics, and her doctors don't want her performing Tuesday night.

Miley Cyrus was hospitalized Tuesday for a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics, and has canceled her planned Kansas City, Mo. concert.

Cyrus tweeted about her disappointment, saying "Kansas I promise I'm as (broken-hearted) as you are. I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night."

She also tweeted a photo of herself in a hospital bed and gown holding a toy octopus.

Cyrus was scheduled to play the Sprint Center as part of her "Bangerz" tour. Her representatives said that refunds will be available at the point of ticket purchase, and online and phone purchases would be automatically refunded.

Editor Sam Hartle of KSHB-TV in Kansas City tweeted a photo of disappointed crowds clearing out of the arena parking lot and reported that police say fans are taking the news well.

Cyrus is scheduled to perform Wednesday night at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. No word yet on whether that show will be affected.
