Drop a barbell on the next guy who adds "I'll be back" to his Arnold Schwarzenegger impression. Comedian David Andrew Brent demonstrates in a new viral video his spot-on version of the pumped-up actor without the cliche lines so many rely on.
Brent was filmed backstage at the Brantford (Ontario) Comedy Festival and in the minute-plus clip, he assumes the voice of the former Governator. Seated against a cinder block wall and wearing a denim jacket, he makes no mention of Sarah Connor, and he never has to say, "It's not a toomah!"
Brent instead tells a phony "Sylvester Stallones" story and lets Schwarzenegger's Austrian accent do all the heavy lifting.
On Twitter, the comic is recognizing the attention his video is getting, and he's been tweeting at fellow comedian Ricky Gervais. With a name like David Brent, an impression of Gervais' original "Office" character is definitely in order.
Brent also tweeted at Schwarzenegger on Tuesday, saying he couldn't have done it without him (obviously!) and the actor tweeted back, calling the video "fantastic" and joking that the Stallone movie was indeed in the works.
