Dina Lohan was arrested on drunk driving charges in Long Island Thursday night, and tests revealed her blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit, according to a press release issued by the New York State Police.
Officers observed the mother of actress Lindsay Lohan traveling on Northern State Parkway at 77 mph in a 55 mph zone, the release states. Lohan, 50, who lives in Merrick, New York, "was found to be intoxicated" and was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated when tests revealed her blood alcohol concentration to be. 20, more than twice the limit of .08, the press release states.
After she was transported for processing, Lohan alleged that she was injured during the course of the arrest, the release states. Police then called an ambulance to have Lohan evaluated. Emergency personnel determined that there were no injuries, and Lohan recanted, the release states. She was later released to a sober third party and is scheduled to appear in Nassau County 1st District Court on September 24.
This arrest comes less than two months after Lindsay Lohan finished her three-month stint in court-ordered rehab.
