Curious about the Supreme reveal on "American Horror Story: Coven"? Well you won't have to be for much longer. According to star Sarah Paulson, there won't be any doubt after Wednesday night's season finale.
"I think a lot of people are very excited," Paulson explained during a visit to TODAY. "And we're not doing that terrible thing where they promise you you're going to find out who it is, and then they tease you — whoops! I guarantee you the reveal is happening (on finale night). Yes!"
And for once, Paulson will be able to tune in for an "AHS" finale — if not the always-spooky opening credits.
"Yeah, I don't watch the opening credits of the show," she revealed. "The great thing about the show is that every year it kind of reinvents itself, and this year is much campier and lighter than it was last year, so I can actually watch the show this year."
As for next season, she may or may not be able to watch, but she'll likely star in it again.
"Jessica Lange is coming back and a bunch of people are coming back. I am on track for that, yeah," Paulson admitted. "The reality is, next year the show is an entirely different thing. It's a new story."
Which is exactly what keeps old fans coming back for more and allows new fans to just jump right in.
"It is a miniseries," she stressed. "This is the third season of the show. You do not have to watch season one or two to enjoy season three. You can start with episode one of season three and watch it all the way through in two days and be scared and eat popcorn and then, I don't know, take a Valium or something."
As for Paulson, she's been too busy for TV marathons lately. In addition to her work on "AHS," she also starred in "12 Years a Slave," a film that's done well in the awards season so far, and some consider a favorite come Oscar time.
"I've been doing this a long time, and I've never been in a movie that's kind of been on track to hopefully have the endgame that would be really great," she said. "For it to win best picture would be incredible."
Paulson and the rest of the "12 Years" cast and crew will have to wait until March to find out if that happens.
The season three finale of "American Horror Story" airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. on FX.
