"Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon may be a bit of a jokester with his guests, but that doesn't mean he never aims his target at his crew. And on Tuesday, he had his eye on his Grammy-winning house band, The Roots.

Or should we say, his unsuspecting house band? Questlove, Tariq and the rest of the gang thought they were merely checking out the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trailer (which has received more than one million views since it debuted six days ago), but oh, no. Fallon had something a little more special for them.

Turns out the comedian had planted something more likely to be found in horror films amid the yearning stares of stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. Of course, The Roots' reactions were caught on tape, all in the name of a good laugh.

The comedian got them pretty good, and Questlove wasn't afraid to admit it.
