“Teen Mom 2” kicks off season five on Tuesday, and viewers will see that the young moms have been busy. Very busy. An abortion, drug arrests, marriages, new babies ... the new season has it all, and the first five minutes alone will give fans whiplash.

We talked to each of the of "Teen Mom 2" stars to see what's coming up for them this season.

Jenelle Evans
Since viewers last saw little Jace's mom, Jenelle, she married — and then split up with — Courtland Rogers. At one point, they were both arrested on heroin charges too.

“He would steal my money, steal my debit card and leave me in the middle of the night while I was sleeping to go get drugs and go to the strip club,” she told TODAY of her ex.

Jenelle also got pregnant ... twice. The first time, she had a miscarriage. The second time, she had an abortion, and MTV will reveal her reaction to the pregnancy news and how she came to her decision.

"I got an abortion because (Courtland) already has a baby," she told TODAY. "I know what he's like as a father, and he's not a good one. I would not want Jace around him at all."

But it's not all bad news for Jenelle. Viewers will see her move on (and in) with ex-Marine Nathan Griffith, who Jenelle insists is a great guy. “He’s not on drugs. He doesn’t smoke pot or anything. He brings out the best in me,” she said.

Apparently, the best in her doesn't include the wisdom to use birth control, as she’s pregnant again.

But Jenelle said she’s doing well now and can’t wait for people to see for themselves. “I want everyone to see that I overcame addiction and I’m focusing more on Jace now, staying stable with him, and having a good relationship with him and Nathan.”

Chelsea Houska
Chelsea's struggles with her ex-boyfriend and daughter Aubree's father, Adam Lind, continue this season and she'll once again try to move on. The trouble this year is that Adam's girlfriend, Taylor, is pregnant, and viewers will see how Chelsea grapples with how a half-sibling will affect her little girl.

Though it has seemed as if Chelsea would never kick Adam to the curb for good, the young mom offered some hope to those who have been rooting for her throughout the seasons.

"When I found out she was pregnant, that was kind of it," she said. "I was like, 'I don't want him anymore.'"

Chelsea added, “This season I really wanted to step up and not let him walk on me anymore. He’s still a jerk, it’s not like he’s changed, but I feel better.”

She may be getting over Adam, but she’ll need all her strength this season. As the trailer has teased, Adam, who wants little Aburee to be part of his new family, will be stirring things up by filing for visitation rights with his daughter.

Kailyn Lowry-Marroquin
This season is chock full of dicey situations for little Isaac's mom, Kail. “I had another baby. We did the whole wedding. And we moved to a new state,” she told TODAY of her new life with husband Javi Marroquin, all of which will be revealed on the show this year. Plus she’s sporting braces and has a full-time gig as a dental assistant.

But despite all the happy news, her life is not smooth sailing. Kail is still battling with her ex, Jo, over their son, Isaac’s custody agreement. “We’re either not talking or we’re arguing. Or trying to be civil,” she said.

Even though her new in-laws are supportive, trouble brews. “I say some things about Javi’s family, with the wedding and the bridesmaids, and there’s this huge blowout,” she said of her drama this season.

There’s also upheaval with her mom — again — who wasn’t invited to the wedding. Expect Kailyn to try to be nice, but with limits, as her mother tries to reconnect. “I try to give her a chance if she’s healthy,” she said. “If she’s not healthy, I hang up on her.”

Leah Calvert
Once again, when life gets tough, Leah, mom to twins Aliannah and Aleeah, steps up. Fans have long wondered what ailed her daughter Ali, and now, there's an answer. The little girl is diagnosed with a rare form of muscular dystrophy and the outlook isn’t good.

“It was hard but I feel like we all came together, even Corey’s family and my family,” she told TODAY.

Ex-husband Corey, who is also the twins' father, on the other hand, doesn’t deal too well. “Throughout the season, you’re going to see him, in my opinion, go into denial," said Leah. "He can’t fix the problem, so therefore there’s nothing wrong.”

Speaking of Corey, the season kicks off with his wedding to new wife Miranda. That may take a little getting used to, at least for viewers, but Leah says it’s all good and everyone’s happy.

Well, almost everyone.

She told TODAY she’s dreading watching the season unfold because there’s a lot of fighting between her and new husband Jeremy. “It’s hard to relive. And that’s just not like me and Jeremy to really fight,” she said.

But they do and viewers will see them struggle to get their footing.

Watch each of the young women's stories as they start to unfold for a new season on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 10 p.m. on MTV.
