Jimmy Kimmel is a married man now, having wed Molly McNearney in July, but long before that, Sarah Silverman was his main squeeze. The comic pair were together from 2002 until 2009, and for a brief moment on Thursday night, they were together again — on his late-night show.
"Our first guest tonight is a very funny and Emmy-winning person, and there's absolutely nothing awkward about having her here tonight," the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" host said as he introduced his ex.
Just to get that not-at-all-awkward vibe out of the way, Silverman promptly presented Kimmel with a box brimming with goodies.
"This is some stuff of yours that you left … when you left," she deadpanned.
Socks, an old tooth brush ("from before you went electric"), a plug from a Palm Treo — it was all there. Well, almost all.
Just after Silverman showed Kimmel the collage she made out of all the heads she cut out of their photos, a little boy in a Kimmel-worthy suit ran to the stage.
"Mommy, am I going to meet daddy tonight?" he asked eagerly.
Check out the clip to find out the answer to that.
