Timing is everything on television, and on Monday night, the time didn't seem right for a light-hearted, pop-culture nod to the film "The Fast and the Furious." Still, just two days after the death of star Paul Walker, that's what "Wheel of Fortune" aired.

On the latest episode of the classic game show, the answer to one of the night's word puzzles was the title from the film franchise.

As for the bad timing, it wasn't intentional. Like many pre-recorded shows, the on-air activity actually took place months ago, and according to a statement on the show's official Facebook page, its broadcast was just an 'unfortunate coincidence."

Coincidence or not, show host Pat Sajak expressed regret about it.

But it seems those reactions weren't required, as far as fans of "Wheel" and Walker were concerned.

In response to the show's statement, viewer Valerie Harper Martin wrote that she considered the puzzle's inclusion a sort of tribute to Walker, "keeping him in our memories." Amy Williams agreed, calling it "actually nice," and a "happy coincidence," a common sentiment.
