The first total lunar eclipse in more than two years lit up the Internet early Tuesday, thanks to thousands of skywatchers who shared their pictures — and a few wags who had fun with the "Blood Moon" meme.
Topsy.com's analytics show show more than 1.7 million tweets mentioning "eclipse" on Monday, with the terms #bloodmoon and "Blood Moon" spiking to more than 500,000.
