Crews Rescue Survivors Buried Under Rubble After Earthquake in Italy

Dozens have been killed after a 6.2-magnitude earthquake rocked central Italy early Wednesday, burying residents under rubble as they slept.

Rescue crews carry an injured man away from the rubble of a collapsed building in Amatrice, Italy, following a a 6.2 magnitude earthquake that struck at around 3:36 a.m. local time on Aug. 24.

The quake was felt across a broad section of central Italy, in Umbria, Lazio and Marche Regions, including the capital Rome where people in homes in the historic center felt a long swaying followed by aftershocks.
