As world leaders gather in New York at the United Nations migration summit, Parliament Square was covered in what organizers are calling a "life jacket graveyard."

Some 2,500 life jackets used by refugees and migrants, including 625 used by children, were laid on the grounds on Monday, to highlight the thousands that have drowned or gone missing.

Bombing suspect Ahmad Rahami lies on the ground after a shootout with police in Linden, New Jersey. 

The desperate search for Rahami, wanted in connection with a series of blasts that terrorized New York and New Jersey ended Monday in a gun battle with police officers.

Ahmad Rahami was taken into custody after he was shot in the leg, law enforcement sources said.
