Celebrity portraits get trashy

Artist Jason Mecier pays homage to stars like Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga by creating portraits using pills, candy and junk. See images of his work.

Is Taylor Swift really sweet? According to Jason Mecier, she's plenty sweet -- Good & Plenty, that is.

The San Francisco-based artist creates portraits of celebs using pills, candy and all kinds of junk, from car parts to beer bottles. The items are often donated by the stars themselves.

"I have a bag of Pam Anderson's laundry, and a letter Paris Hilton wrote me from prison!" Mecier said. "Lady Gaga has some Hello Kitty merchandise that was used in her famous photo shoot, and Anna Nicole's has her actual kiss print on a piece of toilet paper glued on her portrait."
