Hillary Clinton, the likely frontrunner for the Democratic nomination, tweeted praise Tuesday night for the president's State of the Union address, saying he "pointed the way to an economy that works for all."
In his remarks, Obama outlined a proposal to increase taxes on the wealthiest Americans to fund middle-class tax cuts, a tripling of the child care tax credit, paid sick leave and free community college for qualified students.
Clinton's tweet came almost immediately after Obama's remarks concluded.
She has not formally announced a presidential run but is widely expected to enter the race with overwhelming Democratic support.
