With No Treatment, He Didn’t Last a Week 0:42

For six days, Ofori Gweah, got sicker and sicker as he was turned away from treatment centers in Monrovia. Finally, the 62-year-old died, leaving his son Eric, 25, to watch in anguish as a burial team removed the body.

Ebola has infected at least 13,000 people in West Africa, and killed at least 5,000. If the deadly virus isn't stopped, the CDC estimates that up to 1.4 million people could be infected by the end of January 2015.
