The FBI has nothing in its files about U.S. Army Spc. Ivan Lopez, the man identified as the Fort Hood gunman, a federal law enforcement official told NBC News on Thursday.
“No record of anything,” the official said.
Analysis of Lopez’s emails and computer has yet to turn up anything shedding light on a motive, but that work is not complete, the official said.
Investigators are trying to determine what might have led Lopez to shoot three people to death and injure 16 others at the Texas base on Wednesday.
