A mother posted dramatic footage of her family running to avoid falling trees as Iselle began to batter Hawaii late Thursday. Myla Rincon, a 33-year-old student, can be heard screaming: "Get in the house!" as trees begin to crack around her family. "One tree actually came down very close to us - it was very scary," she told NBC News. "We had no idea it would be this strong, and the eye has not even hit yet."
Rincon lives near Pahoa on the eastern end of the Big Island, the main area staring down the barrel of Iselle, which was downgraded to a tropical storm early Friday. A Category 3 hurricane, Julio, was close on Iselle's tail with maximum sustained winds of 115 mph. "I grew up here and I have never seen weather like this before, I have never seen anything this crazy," Rincon said. "Trees are falling on top of houses."
