A man is doused with milk and sprayed with mist after being hit by an eye irritant used by security forces trying to disperse demonstrators in Ferguson, Mo. Police in riot gear ordered dozens of lingering demonstrators protesting against the shooting of unarmed black teen Michael Brown to disperse late on Tuesday and charged into the crowd to make arrests as relative calm dissolved.

Missouri Highway Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson told an early-morning press conference a "limited" amount of pepper spray was used by police in Ferguson overnight, but no tear gas or bullets were fired.
