A protester hurled fake blood on NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton in Times Square on Monday during a demonstration over a grand jury decision not to indict the officer who killed Missouri teen Michael Brown. An NYPD spokesman told NBC New York that a man was arrested after he threw what appeared to be red paint at police officers and officials, including Bratton.
More than 1,000 demonstrators marched through lower Manhattan on Monday night, mirroring protests nationwide sparked by the grand jury's decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson for the fatal shooting of Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.
