Double-amputee Olympian Oscar Pistorius revealed details of his relationship with girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp at his murder trial Tuesday, saying that they had discussed their future together before he killed her.
"I was besotted," the sprinter testified as he took the witness stand for a second day. "If anything, I was more into her sometimes than she was into me."
Pistorius, 27, told the High Court in Pretoria, South Africa, that the pair had planned a trip to Brazil in March 2013, the month after her death.
He added that they had discussed "a future with each other." Pistorius said he had considered moving to Johannesburg to be closer to her home.
Prosecutors allege premeditated murder after Pistorius killed the model and law graduate early on Valentine's Day last year. The athlete -- who is nicknamed the "Blade Runner" -- insists he mistook her for an intruder.
The trial continues.
