Roads Fraught With Danger for Ukrainians Fleeing Siege

The insurgent stronghold of Lugansk is on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe as a siege has seen water, electricity and food supplies cut off.

The insurgent stronghold of Lugansk in eastern Ukraine is on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe as a siege by government troops has seen water, electricity and food supplies cut off. Hazards including destroyed bridges and unexploded shells and mines create routes fraught with risks for Ukrainians fleeing the region.
