Apple said Thursday morning that users were experiencing a problem with its App Store.

The company's system status page said "all users are affected," and described the problem as the service "is not working as expected for all users."

Some users on social media suggested the problem was with the App Store's search function, and CNBC was able to confirm some unexpected results with the tool such as common apps not being discoverable. (For instance, the first 7 results of a search for "Google" do not show apps from the tech giant.)
