The Apple Watch isn't the only device selling out fast. The new MacBook also went on sale on Friday and demand for the gold model is high. Announced in early March, Apple's latest laptop -- simply called the MacBook -- features a Retina display, bigger keyboard and an ultra-thin body. The 12-inch MacBook only weighs two pounds, making it lighter than the 11-inch MacBook Air. The silver and space gray models are available to take home in 2-3 days. The wait for the gold model? Around 3-4 weeks. While Apple had released gold iPhones and iPads before, this is the first time it has released a gold laptop. The MacBook starts at $1,599. It has been a good day in Cupertino, as demand for the Apple Watch is also high, forcing some customers to wait until July to receive their purchase.
