Someone call Thor and Captain America. It looks like Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg could be the next Avenger, thanks to the power of artificial intelligence.

Over the weekend, he shared his New Year's resolution to "build a simple AI to run my home and help me with my work. You can think of it kind of like Jarvis in Iron Man."

Zuckerberg doesn't have his eye on defeating Ultron. Instead, he wants artificial intelligence to help him around the house.

"I'm going to start by exploring what technology is already out there." he wrote on Facebook. "Then I'll start teaching it to understand my voice to control everything in our home -- music, lights, temperature and so on. I'll teach it to let friends in by looking at their faces when they ring the doorbell."

Facebook opened a research center for artificial intelligence in Paris last summer, an effort to improve the company's ability to sort and analyze the photos and videos posted by its 1.01 billion daily active users. Zuckerberg could also get some help taking care of his newborn daughter, Max.

"I'll teach it to let me know if anything is going on in Max's room that I need to check on when I'm not with her," he wrote.
