Twitter update improves conversations, adds flagging on Android and Web

The new conversation view has a blue line connecting tweets.Twitter

Users of Twitter's mobile apps will be getting a minor update soon that improves the conversations interface on all platforms and brings a few minor updates to the Android app.

When browsing your Twitter stream, some tweets will now be connected with a blue line, letting you know they're part of a conversation. If you want to view the rest of the associated tweets, just tap on "more replies" and you'll launch the conversation view.

All users will now be able to flag tweets as inappropriate or spammy directly from the app or web interface (iOS users have had this ability for a while) — a change made partially in response to a popular petition with over 100,000 signatures calling for the feature. Being able to report abusive tweets without going to Twitter's help center may make policing the social network a little easier.

One last bonus: users on budget phones without much storage space will be happy to hear that the app itself has been halved in size. That should make downloads and updates easier and faster.
