Monica Lewinsky is now officially on Twitter.

Lewinsky made the bold leap out of late '90s supermarket tabloids and into the 21st century on Monday with a single tweet: "#HereWeGo." The one-time White House intern whose affair with President Bill Clinton nearly derailed his time in office has more recently begun to rehabilitate her public profile, penning an essay in the May issue of Vanity Fair in which she said it was time to "burn the beret and bury the blue dress." In her description on the social media site Lewinsky seems right at home with the self-branding of the Internet Age, calling herself a "social activist," "public speaker," and "knitter of things without sleeves" in addition to her work as a contributor to Vanity Fair. She was scheduled to give a talk titled "Monica Lewinsky and the Internet's Reputation Shredder" at the Forbes Under 30 Summit in Philadelphia on Monday morning.

Welcome to a brave new world, Monica.
