Some Twitter users are voicing their distaste for the 45th President of the United States by changing their profile photo to a black square and using the hashtag #twitterblackout.

As protesters gathered around the country, some also opted to make their voices heard virtually, expressing solidarity with other disaffected groups by also tagging "I'mStillWithHer and #NotMyPresident.

The protest is notable since Twitter has been a favorite medium for Trump.

The tone of Trump's Twitter account has at times read more like his stream of consciousness rather than a curation of tailored campaign messages.
