There are plenty of services and apps which provide restaurant ratings — Yelp happens to be a popular one — but what if you're more focused on the menu items rather than the places? After all, who cares if you're in the world's snootiest restaurant or in the filthiest hole-in-the-wall as long as you're enjoying the best pizza, burger, or steak in the city?
There's an app that will guide you to the very best items on every menu. It's called Oink and can be downloaded for free through the Apple App Store.
Oink is esentially a location-based review service which collects ratings of items inside restaurants — or other businesses. This means that rather than looking for a place that serves Italian cuisine, you could specifically search for a specific dish. Tap, tap, tap and ta da! The app will spit out the places which offer the best of the best.
Keep in mind that — just like with any other app or service which relies on user reviews — you should always take information discovered through Oink with a grain of salt. Compare reviews and read more than one before making a decision.
