The much-praised and much-purchased game "Mass Effect 2" will be getting yet another round of downloadable content.
Developer BioWare has released two images for the forthcoming mission known as "The Arrival." It will join a long list of content that has given "ME2," launched at the beginning of 2010, some real longevity.
"Normandy Crash Site" "Katsumi's Stolen Memory," "Zaeed: The Price of Revenge," "Overlord," and "Lair of the Shadow Broker" delivered some really solid content and some intriguing missions that extended the epic story undertaken in "Mass Effect 2."
BioWare hasn't said much about "The Arrival," but it's expected to help bridge the leap between "Mass Effect 2" and the launch of "Mass Effect 3," scheduled for later this year.
BioWare released the first screenshot from "The Arrival" (below) on Monday and then announced on its Facebook page that it would release another screenshot if fans shared the image and earned them 750,000 impressions on Facebook.
The many "Mass Effect" enthusiasts out there came through and the second image (up top) was forked over.
But if you want the screenshots to keep coming — you're going to have to keep spreading the word. Today, BioWare's Facebook page has this to say on the topic of additional screenshots: "Will there be another one Arriving tomorrow? That's up to you. 750,000 impressions is the goal!"
Man, talk about making your fans work for it.
