BJ's, Sam’s Club and Costco are membership warehouse clubs with Black Friday specials on HDTVs. Clubs require an annual membership for savings. Here’s how the deals break down:
Wholesale club BJ’s announced its HDTV Black Friday deals. The retailer has more than15 HDTVs with screen sizes from 22 to 60 inches. You can order online at bjs.com or buy at any of the BJ’s stores, all located east of the Mississippi. The hot deals include: a 47-inch LG 3-D LED LCD bundled with sound bar for $699.99; a 55-inch LG LED LCD for $799.99 and a 39-inch Sansui LED LCD for $279.99
The BJ’s Black Friday deals begin online at 12:30 a.m. EST on Friday and go until Sunday, Nov. 25 (or while supplies last).
If you are not a BJ’s member, you can either order online and pay an additional 5 percent, or become a member for a $50 fee. The membership is good for one year and may be cancelled up to 11 months after joining for a full refund of the fee. We’ve included Amazon links for additional item descriptions and price comparisons.
Offers online or store pickup on 8 HDTVs and an LG Blu-ray player. Hot deals include a 32-inch Magnavox LED LCD for $198, a 65-inch Vizio LCD for $998 and a 40-inch Sanyo LCD for $348. Membership cost $40 a year. Most of the Sam's Club deals are available Wednesday night at 11 p.m. EST.
Costco advertised only one Black Friday HDTV model in its ad (see below). However, the ad is clear that there are many more discounted TVs that you will find in stores. Costco gives members a free two-year warranty on all TV sets. But free is relative: the retailer's annual basic membership is $55.
