HTC brings its latest to Verizon with Droid Incredible 4G LTE

HTC has been bringing its new One series to the U.S. in a variety of incarnations. Besides the unaltered One S on T-Mobile and One X on AT&T, there's Sprint's Evo 4G LTE and now the Droid Incredible 4G LTE on Verizon. It's certainly the furthest departure yet from the flagship design.

Its specs are more modest than the One S or X, with a slower 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor and a smaller 4-inch Super LCD display with a 960x540 (qHD) resolution. It's also missing the cool aluminum body of its nearest cousin, the One S.

Like the others in the One series, it runs Android 4.0 with HTC's new Sense skin on top, and has improved Beats Audio and an 8-megapixel camera. And of course it is tuned to run on Verizon's high-speed 4G LTE network.

The smaller size and slightly reduced specs suggest that the new Incredible will be marketed as a high-end item, but not a "superphone" like the One X or Samsung's Galaxy S III. No pricing or availability has been announced, though a leak in late April showed a $299.99 price for the device with a 2-year contract.
