'Game of Thrones' redone in 'Minecraft' — all of it

Gamers who are also fans of "Game of Thrones" are perhaps aware of the role-playing adaptation due later this month, May 15. It's being published by Atlus, who knows a thing or two about RPGs, but developer Cyanide also did the "Game of Thrones" strategy title that was a disappointment.

So for those preparing for the worst, there's an alternative: "Minecraft." A mod to be exact, one called "WesterosCraft." It's an ambitious project to re-create the entirety of the "Game of Thrones" universe in one single server.

Its project lead, Jacob Granberry, has been producing videos on a fairly regular basis, and his latest batch is easily the most impressive to date. Here we have a making-of video, of Dragonstone:

A number of other making-of clips, covering the creation of Castle Black, Pyke, The Eyrie and the Sunspear Water Gardens can be viewed over at Kotaku.

 And "WesterosCraft" itself can be experienced first-hand hereEveryone is encouraged to stop by and look around, and thanks to the recently formed player-vs.-player realm, you can also engage in the wanton violence the books and games are known for as well.
