Let's clear something up: Despite what you may believe at times, you're not the only single person left on the planet.
Understood? Great. Now let's talk about a clever little service that'll help you find other single, love-starved people using Twitter.
The dating service is called Luv@FirstTweet and it allows you to find a love match by occasionally replying to questions tweeted by the service. The more questions you answer, the easier it will be for an algorithm to match you to folks whom you might like:
You can tweet your responses through @reply or direct messages. The site's algorithm then matches your responses with someone it thinks you'll like. You will see a picture of the individual, as well as a few questions and answers which you had in common with your match. Once you approve your match, you'll receive that person's email address and Twitter ID.
Sounds pretty simple, right? Of course, as BusinessInsider notes, there's a bit of an awkward side to Luv@FirstTweet, but you're set once you get past that:
[A] 140-character limit makes it unlikely that you'll learn much about your potential dates. Then again, that could be the jumping off point for your face-to-face conversations, which will hopefully be longer.
Basically, you've got nothing to lose. All you need to do is head over to Luv@FirstTweet's website, sign in using your Twitter account, and start answering questions about things like your favorite board games and snacks.
