At CES in Las Vegas, LG announced that it would launch the long-awaited OLED TV into the U.S. market this March, for a suggested retail price of $12,000.

That's actually a tad higher than the roughly $10,000 MSRP in Korea, where it is now becoming available.
It will also sell an 84-inch ultra high-def (aka 4K-resolution) TV — and a version of that with multi-touch interaction. That's pretty impressive, and certainly underlines LG's slogan of the year, "Touch the smart life."
In addition, LG said that it would get rid of CCFL in its LCD TV line, so that every LCD they sell is LED-lit. All of its TVs would be Energy Star certified, as well.
My personal favorite in this year's LG lineup is the HECTO FP laser projector, which brings a 100-inch high-contrast picture into the living room.
