Microsoft reveals 23 games in Xbox One's starting lineup

Microsoft revealed the starting lineup of video games for its upcoming Xbox One console on Tuesday.

Kicking off its presence at the annual Gamescom game industry convention in Cologne, Germany, Microsoft confirmed 23 launch titles that will appear on the next generation console on its still-not-public release date this holiday season.

Here is the full list, complete with known information about what consoles the games will be appearing on:

  • Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag - Available on all major consoles
  • Battlefield 4 - Available on all major consoles except the Wii U
  • Call of Duty: Ghosts - Available on all major consoles
  • Crimson Dragon - Exclusive to Xbox One
  • Dead Rising 3 - Exclusive to Xbox One 
  • FIFA 14 - Available on all major consoles except the Wii U 
  • Fighter Within - Exclusive to Xbox One
  • Forza Motorsport 5 -Exclusive to Xbox One
  • Just Dance 2014 - Available on all major consoles
  • Killer Instinct - Exclusive to Xbox One
  • LEGO Marvel Super Heroes - Available to all major consoles
  • Lococycle - Exclusive to Xbox One
  • Madden NFL 25 - Available for current and next-gen PlayStation and Xbox consoles
  • NBA 2K14 - Available on all major consoles except the Wii U
  • NBA LIVE 14 - Available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
  • Need for Speed: Rivals - Available for current and next-gen PlayStation and Xbox consoles
  • Peggle 2 - Appearing first on Xbox One
  • Powerstar Golf - Exclusive to Xbox One
  • Ryse: Son of Rome - Exclusive to Xbox One
  • Skylanders: Swap Force - Available on all major consoles
  • Watch Dogs - Available on all major consoles
  • Zoo Tycoon - Exclusive to Xbox One
  • Zumba Fitness: World Party

Of the 23 games on the list, the seven produced in-house by Microsoft Game Studios — "Crimson Dragon," "Dead Rising 3," "Forza Motorsport 5," "Killer Instinct," "Powerstar Golf," "Ryse: Son of Rome," and "Zoo Tycoon" will all be Xbox One exclusives,in addition to the Microsoft-published "Lococycle" and the Kinect-powered Ubisoft title "Fighter Within."  

Microsoft has also promised exclusive content within certain popular games such as "Call of Duty: Ghosts" and "Battlefield 4," which will be offered for a limited time after launch. Those games will also appear on Sony's PlayStation 4 console, with the exception of a few notable titles like Electronic Arts' "Battlefield 4," the Wii U.
