As expected, Apple has updated its MacBook Air line of laptops. The new models offer next generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 dual-core processors, high-speed Thunderbolt technology, backlit keyboards, Mac OS X Lion, and more.
As with the last generation MacBook Air models, there is an 11-inch and a 13-inch version.
The itty-bitty 11-inch version comes with a 1.6 GHz processor and is available in two flavors — one with 2GB of memory and 64GB of flash storage for $999 and one with 4GB of memory and 128GB of flash storage for $1,199.
The slightly larger 13-inch MacBook Air, on the other hand, comes with a 1.7 GHz processor and is available with 4GB of memory and 128GB of flash storage for $1,299 or with 4GB of memory and 256GB of flash storage for $1,599.
No matter which size MacBook Air you choose though, you're able to snatch up some "configure-to-order" options such as a 1.8 GHz Core i7 processor or additional flash storage. (Naturally this will make the gadget's price jump quite a bit.)
