The Nikon 1 mirror-less system hasn't exactly lived up to hype. One would think that the camera maker would strive to blow our minds with a solid addition to its line, but no dice.

The J2 — the latest model in the Nikon 1 family — has a disappointingly small image sensor, just like the J1. It does have a better LCD display, a nicer body and a "creative mode," but that's about all that's truly improved in comparison to the older model.

The Nikon 1 J2 will be available in September. A kit that includes a 10-30mm lens will set will set you back $550.
