Gamers, try not to go into withdrawal shock, but it looks like whatever has taken the Sony PlayStation Network down is going to keep it offline for at least another day or two.
This was posted on the official PlayStation blog today:
While we are investigating the cause of the Network outage, we wanted to alert you that it may be a full day or two before we’re able to get the service completely back up and running. Thank you very much for your patience while we work to resolve this matter. Please stay tuned to this space for more details, and we’ll update you again as soon as we can.
The gamers who commented below the post exhibit varying degrees of shock and awe:
Sony has stated that there are over 75 million registered PSN accounts in 59 countries all over the world.
