Ever150-word mea culpa

original, poorly-researched article hereCaprica
ramon melendez Posted at 4:11 PM November 07, 2010:First it's NCC 1701 not nnc. Kirk was given NCC-1701-A as a substitute.after he crashed and burned the stolen NCC1701.A 1701-B was Excelsior class lasted for 2 minutes on movie #7... the trekkers will confirm; NCC-1701-C for 3 minutes on ST:TNG. Picard thought " there's plenty of letters in the alphabet yet".Steve Cramsie Posted at 10:43 AM November 07, 2010:The Enterprise-A was the last one to be helmed by Captain Kirk. So technically the Enterprise-E is FOUR ships removed from his command, heh. But who's counting? ;)Dan Graystone of Caprica, TX Posted at 4:11 AM November 07, 2010:Geez! The corrected article is even more messed up than the original article: #1 the hull numbers are "NCC", not "NNC". Next, captains of the starships Enterprise: 1) NX-01 - Capt. Jonathan Archer (Starfleet, but not Federation) 2) NCC-1701 (Constitution Class) - Capts. April, Pike, Kirk, Spock. A refit version was the one Kirk destroyed over Genesis 3) NCC-1701-A (Constitution Class) - Kirk given command after STIV 4) NCC-1701-B (Excelsior Class) - Capt. Harriman. Kirk was on maiden voyage, was presumed killed, but was caught in The Nexus. However, he was never the captain of the ship. 5) NCC-1701-C (Ambassador Class) - Capt. Rachel Garrett. Destroyed defending Narendra III. 6) NCC-1701-D (Galaxy Class) - Capt. Picard, Riker, Jelico. Destoryed crashing on Veridian IV. 7) NCC-1701-E (Sovereign-class) - Capt. Picard
