Will Google glasses make you more annoying than sidewalk texters?

Is this the jerk of the future?

On Wednesday, Google finally spilled the beans on its long-rumored augmented reality glasses, and as quick as you can say "Angelina Jolie's leg,"  Google's "Project Glass" became the Internet's latest gag to get run into the ground. And who can blame us?

Google glasses -- still just a prototype -- feature a microphone, speakers, a camera and visual display far more sophisticated than that utilized by the Terminator. What's not to mock?

Tom Scott, a U.K. filmmaker who, appropriately enough, also gets paid to talk about how fast technology changes the world, turned around this parody within 24 hours of Google's announcement. He does a pretty good job of summing up how Google glasses could be more annoying than people who walk down the street texting non-stop. (You heard me! You're annoying … and also in the way.) Enjoy!

Helen A.S. Popkin goes blah blah blah about privacy and then asks you to join her on Twitter and/or Facebook. Also, Google+. Because that's how she rolls.
