Last week, we brought you a video of the biggest "World of Warcraft" fan in the entire universe calling the makers of the biggest on-line role-playing game in the universe on an error in the game's story line.
This week, the makers of "World of Warcraft" have rewarded this fan by creating a new in-game character inspired by him.
Wildhammer Fact Checker is the new character's name (see above photo) and he appears as part of "WoW's" forthcoming "Cataclysm" expansion. Meanwhile, the developers at Blizzard also have corrected the error that their fan — since dubbed Red Shirt Guy for the color of the shirt he was wearing in the video — pointed out to them.
Though many thought rumors of the new character were fake, Blizzard's Lead World Designer Alex Afrasiabi chimed in on the game's online forums to confirm that Wildhammer Fact Checker — wearing a red shirt no less — is, indeed, real.
Well played Blizzard, well played!
Meanwhile, Red Shirt Guy himself, has taken to Youtube to clarify a few questions about himself and his now famous question to the honchos at Blizzard.
