Visiting the Magic Kingdom can be a magical experience, if it wasn’t for all the long lines made worse by an antiquated ticketing system. But just like amazing technology can seem supernatural, Disney has decided to offer, as an alternative to paper tickets, wireless “MagicBands” where with a wave of your wrist you can enter Space Mountain or take another spin on the tea cup ride.

Disney is bringing that dream to life, officially announcing today that after two years of testing it will be officially rolling out wireless MagicBand wristbands at Disney World in Fla. later this year, with all Disney parks around the world to follow. Disney will also distribute credit card-sized cards with the same functionality.

Thomas Staggs, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, made the announcement today at the AllThingsD technology conference in Calif, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Disney did not return phonecalls seeking comment.
