A Chicago-to-Boston JetBlue flight was diverted to Buffalo, N.Y., early Monday because of a telephoned bomb threat.
Flight 923 landed safely in Buffalo, and the plane was met by authorities, JetBlue said in a statement. There were 86 passengers and four crew members aboard, JetBlue spokesperson Alison Croyle told Reuters.
“The plane landed safely at 8:25 a.m. and has since been cleared of any possible threats,” the Transportation Security Administration said in a statement.
One passenger was detained, FBI spokesman Greg Nelson told Reuters.
