If you are a Mac user, you might have ended up in a more expensive hotel room—so get your money's worth and stay somewhere that's hooked up. We found 15 properties around the world that have iPads, iPhones, and Kindles waiting for you, and many let you leave the hotel and use them on the town.

Barcelona

Mandarin Oriental
Famed Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola designed this luxe, 98-room property, so it should be no surprise that guests have access to some high-end amenities—including iPads. The iPads are complimentary to borrow (ask the concierge for one) and use around town. Rooms from $442.

Boston

Revere Hotel Boston Common
Leave the bulky guidebooks at home if you're staying at Revere. The hotel, which reopened in April after a massive transformation and new ownership, will lend you a Kindle pre-loaded with travel books, including "Eyewitness: Top 10 Boston,""Walking Boston: 34 Tours," and "Curiosities of History: Boston." Rooms from $279; $100 deposit is required to use the Kindle.

Cabo San Lucas

Capella Pedregal
One big perk at Capella Pedregal: During the stay, you can summon a technology butler to help set up and troubleshoot your iPad, which you're offered at check-in. And yes, you are allowed to take the iPad (pre-loaded with newspapers, magazines, and apps) off property. Prices from $425.

London

Eccleston Square Hotel
Each of the 39 rooms here comes with an iPad that controls all of the technology you'll need during your stay, including the curtains, heating, lighting, and in-room services—you can even book a table at the nightclub. Don't get too attached, though; the iPads need to stay on property. Rooms from £195.

OneFineStay
OneFineStay bills itself as an "unhotel," a curated list of vacation rentals that still come with the amenities you'd expect at a proper hotel. That includes an iPhone at check in, which you can use around town for the usual: free local calls; Internet; Google Maps; weather; and OneFineStay's own app, stocked with the property host's restaurant recommendations and local tips. Prices vary.

Los Angeles

Hotel Bel Air
The Hotel Bel Air offers iPads for your room (they control the lighting and temperature, take housekeeping and concierge requests, and let you order room service), plus iPads for kids to use in the restaurant and by the pool. The kid-friendly gadgets are pre-loaded with games, cartoons, and drawing apps, and you don't even have to request one—if you arrive with little ones in tow, the hotel supplies the toy. The in-room iPads are yours to use around the city during your stay. Rooms from $515.

Miami

Hotel Beaux Arts Miami
Every one of the 44 über-modern rooms here comes equipped with an iPad, though you'll to keep it on the property. Rooms from $399.

SLS Hotel South Beach
Use the in-room iPad to order more pillows, buy a bottle of champagne, request your car from the valet, and wirelessly print your boarding pass at the front desk. The iPad has to stay at the hotel. Rooms from $325.

Loews
If you rent a cabana or daybed in the newly renovated SOAK pool area, you can check out an iPad to use around the water and throughout the rest of the property, including your room. They come loaded with apps and games for kids, plus each iPad has its own Netflix account. Rooms from $299; cabanas $300.

New York

Hôtel Americano
Each of the 56 guestrooms at Carlos Couturier and Moises Micha's chic property are equipped with an iPad. The tablets are set up with culture, dining, and wellness suggestions for New York, plus concierge services and a curated music list; the iPads have to stay on property. Rooms from $375.

The James New York
This summer, the R&R Weekends Pool Package at the James includes access to a Kindle for poolside reading, plus Havaianas Flip Flops, Coola organic sunscreen, and two cocktails. Packages from $379 per night.

Trump Soho
Take a Kindle Touch for a test drive at the Trump Soho. The e-reader is pre-loaded with books and magazines, including pool-friendly bestsellers, "The Lucky One" and "11th Hour."Rooms from $395.

Park City

Washington School House
When you get back from the slopes (or a summer hike), you'll find iPads filled with movies waiting for you at this recently renovated historic landmark. Rooms from $400 in the summer and $700 in the winter.

Rhode Island

The Ocean House
Watch Hill's Ocean House—a seaside property that dates back to 1868—has fully-stocked iPads with movies and entertainment apps, but there are only four and they need to be signed out at the front desk. You'll have to keep them on the property. Rooms from $715.

Forty 1° North
This Newport spot has 24 LEED-certified hotel rooms and suites, plus two lofts and two cottages—and they're all equipped with iPads and iPods. A green bonus: The hotel saves 750 pounds of newspaper waste each month by delivering newspapers on the iPads. Rooms from $395.

Toronto
