Toxic, bubblegum-like snail eggs turn up in New Orleans

Apple snails and clusters of their gooey, bright pink eggs, native of South and Central America, have been spotted in New Orleans waterways. Officials warn they could be tainted with rat lungworm and caution people — especially children — to stay away. WDSU’s Casey Ferrand reports.
