Arthritic Komodo dragon gets fitted with splint
While most Komodo dragons are ferocious, flesh-eating beasts, 19-year-old Ivan at the Phoenix Zoo has a “puppy dog-like reputation.” That’s why zookeepers there fitted the giant arthritic lizard with a special prosthetic splint to aid in his mobility. KPNX’s Hailey Frances reports.
