Panetta: We have ‘turned the tide’ in Afghanistan

Speaking at the National Press Club, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta says U.S. military commanders and their Afghan allies believe that after more than a decade of war, they have “fundamentally turned the tide” in Afghanistan and still "continually weaken al-Qaida’s leadership.”
